Getting
to the Palm Springs Film Noir Festival is quite easy. Three
major airports service the Palm Springs area, Los Angeles International,
Ontario California and Palm Springs International.
It is possible to fly directly into Palm Springs International, the most convenient port, using several carriers all linked on the left. Midwest and East Coast residents will find several convenient transfer hubs on the major airlines allowing you to transfer to a direct flight into our desert oasis of Palm Springs. |

Provides
service to over one million passengers per year. A record
1,281,073 passengers were served in 2000. Passengers traveling to the
desert can fly year-round on up to eleven carriers serving the
airport. Palm Springs International Airport provides over 4,000
seats daily during peak season, over 3,000 seats in the shoulder seasons
and 2000 seats daily in the summer. Approximately 90% of U.S.
cities and major international destinations have direct or one stop
service to the Palm Springs International Airport.
Taxis and Shuttle Vans whisk you to your
hotel within a matter of minutes. The airport is conveniently
located near the center of Palm Springs, only 2 1/2 miles from the
downtown area and hotels. The Camelot Theatre (location of the
Film Noir Festival), hotels and restaurants are within a short distance
and a affordable taxi ride. |

The second closest airport to Palm Springs is Ontario. If you fly into Ontario it will be necessary to take either a shuttle van with Palm Springs Limo or rent a car. Palm Springs is 70 miles east of the Ontario airport and roughly 1 hour 20 minutes driving time. An advantage at Ontario is that Southwest Airlines arrives here and Southwest's airfares are unbeatable if you book early. The savings may pay for the cost of a shuttle or a rental. | ||||
Los Angeles International |

Palm Springs is approximately 110 miles east of LAX - Los Angeles International Airport and 2 hours driving time. This is the busiest airport on the West Coast, most domestic carriers land here each day. If you are coming from the East Coast it might be helpful to compare fares into LAX and then add the price of renting a car or a shuttle from Palm Springs Limo for the trip to Palm Springs. For some East Coast travelers, this will be the most cost effective route. If you want to air shuttle to Palm Springs, American Eagle and United Express both have air shuttles from LAX. |
